Heights Elementary Addition and Rehabilitation

ARG Construction completed an addition and rehabilitation project at Heights Elementary School for Laredo Independent School District. The work expanded the campus with new construction and renovated the existing building.

Planning began with an assessment of the existing structure and coordination with the district’s architects, administrators, and campus staff. That input shaped the scope and the sequence of the work. On a school project, the schedule matters as much as the scope, and both were set before construction started.

The addition brought new classrooms and a multipurpose space into the existing building, tying the new construction to the original structure rather than building separately. The rehabilitation updated the older portions of the campus. Electrical and HVAC systems were replaced, improving comfort in the classrooms and reducing the district’s operating costs.

The campus now serves Laredo ISD students in updated classrooms with modern building systems.
